Cakewalk is an innovative platform empowering creators to effortlessly establish their online store and offerwall. Bridging the simplicity of creating a customizable wall filled with monetization assets, Cakewalk streamlines the process for creators to connect with brands and monetize their audience seamlessly.
Goal
Cakewalk's primary goal is to simplify the monetization process for creators, acting as a bridge between them and brands. By offering an all-in-one solution for affiliate programs, Cakewalk enables any user to become a creator and affiliate, fostering a seamless connection between their audience and various brands
The Wall (What the Audience Sees)
Cakewalk presents creators' personalized spaces as dynamic "offerwalls," featuring curated items such as links to recommended products, media kits, and opportunities for email submissions. Audiences can also explore brand stores and shop lists, or schedule appointments directly through the platform. With embedded items for platforms like Twitch and social media channels, audiences can seamlessly engage with the creator's content across various platforms, fostering interaction and monetization opportunities.
Items Options and Types:
Creators can add various items to their Cakewalk wall, including links, media kits, email submissions, custom requests, calendar integrations, brand stores, and shop lists. The platform accommodates embedded items for popular platforms like Twitch, YouTube, and social media channels.
The Platform (What the Creator Sees):
Cakewalk's platform provides creators with a user-friendly app available on both desktop and mobile devices. It offers a centralized hub to manage and customize the content on their walls, allowing creators to easily add and organize items, customize layouts, and interact with their audience.
Customization Options
Creators enjoy a high degree of customization with Cakewalk. The platform offers options for backgrounds, layouts, headers, dividers, and images, enabling creators to craft a unique and personalized space that aligns with their brand and resonates with their audience.

The Dashboard provides creators with an overview of their earnings, page visits, item clicks, and conversion rates. Dynamic graphs visualize trends over time, while interactive charts highlight top locations, referrers, impressions, clicks, and CTR. Creators can filter data by item types and select timeframes for analysis, empowering them to optimize their monetization strategies effectively.

Brand Identity
Cakewalk's brand identity is built on values of authenticity, intuition, and casualness. Its personality is characterized as intelligent, creative, and colorful. Vibrant, loud, and passionate about creativity, Cakewalk maintains a casual tone in communication. The brand embraces the power of community, emphasizing connection, support systems, participation, and audience engagement.
Brand Language
Cakewalk employs a vibrant color palette with black and white, devoid of shadows or gradients. The brand uses illustrations to infuse joy and approachability, combining neobrutalism with old-school drawings. These illustrations are featured across socials, empty states, error pages within the app, and the brand site.
Outcome
After a thorough research and design process, I successfully built a responsive website from scratch, even without prior scripting knowledge. Leveraging the benefits of the CMS system, the site's database is now easily accessible and editable. Adding or removing languages seamlessly takes just a few minutes, integrating smoothly with the search, filter, and sort options.
The time I spent experimenting with various mediums for the outcome was crucial in understanding the most effective way to present my research. In the end, I made sure not to leave anything behind. All my research, anecdotes, and findings are now accessible online for anyone to see and explore. The site is live and you can check it out whenever you want!
